The Curbside Chronicle is a program of the Homeless Alliance, a nonprofit organization in Oklahoma City whose mission is to rally the community to end homelessness, who puts out a new magazine every month. In September 2021, I was asked to create the cover for the yearly zoo issue. The Oklahoma City Zoo welcomed a giraffe calf earlier that year and I worked closely with the team at Curbside to create this design.
